So 2013 was wild. Well it was pretty wild…(for us anyway) If you had of told us this time last year that we would be going to France, Greece, China and INDIA!!! to shoot weddings we would probably of laughed in your face. We didn’t of course (laugh in your face that is) we did however shoot weddings in all those locations, as well as bobbing all over the U.K., Newcastle, Norfolk, Nottingham, Leeds and London to name but a few and obviously not forgetting our very own Sheffield and Cheshire.

There have been laughs, cries, hugs and kisses and what we have really come to appreciate is that despite it being a similar journey for each couple of friendship, love and marriage, each story is unique and we continue to try and tell these stories the best we can. We met some awesome people in 2013 from Make up Artists to Chef’s to fellow photographers all with the same goal of making this magical day the most awesome day in a couples life and one of many more to follow.

Thanks, Nick and Emma, Simon and Suki, Darren and Clare, Ken and Anna, Yong and Yinan, Gavin and Alix, Sailo and Pinky, Jamie and Alex, Tow and Kary, Simon and Jennie, Nicholas and Muriel, Jamie and Helen, Liam and Carly, Jack and Stacy, Oliver and Helen, Rob and Helyaneh, Mark and Lianne, Nick and Leah, David and Kate, Neil and Claire, Heego and Alice, Steve and Laura, Richard and Noor, Ant and Emma, Read and Kim, Mark and Mirja, Chris and Saya, Adam and Lisa, Hari and Anushree, Lee and Claire, Richard and Hollie and Ali and Tory.

2013 you’ve outdone yourself! let’s see what 2014 has to offer.

Here’s a selection of photos from 2013.

One of our favourite videos from 2013 was Andy and Amy’s wedding at Priory Cottages

Ali and Tory – The Video

So I’m sure you’ve all seen Ali and Tory’s wedding photos. Well if not you can check them out here – http://www.one-wedding.com/ali-and-tory-creative-wedding-photography-sheffield – but not many of you know that we also made a small little wedding video for them… Well the story goes that close to the wedding date Ali and Tory asked if we could also make them one of our wedding videos, unfortunately with it being NYE we weren’t able to sort out an extra person to help us and we had to say no. However, with us only shooting one wedding a year on NYE we decided that towards the end of the night we would make them a special little video just to say thanks. It meant a lot to us seeing the new year in as we filmed and photographed and rounded the year off perfectly for us. Making a “Little New Years Eve Special Countdown Video” was also kinda cool and different for us with everyone having a good old sing along and a few smooches to Auld Lang Syne.

As a little surprise for them we put together this video, not necessarily our greatest work but still a little extra something for them to remember their wedding by.

Hope you like.

Mike has decided to take on a 365 project in the Instagram community that involves taking a photograph everyday for a whole year. The result will be a collection of some 365 images that document the interesting life of a wedding photographer…

Every two months we will be posting a selection of our favourite Instagram’s here on the blog. Sometimes there are wedding Instagram’s and sometimes there aren’t it all depends what our eyes and cameras see.

It is strictly iphone only (iphone 4 to be precise) and involves more personal imagery rather than solely wedding photography. We thought we would share some images on the blog to give you an idea of who we are and what we get up to when we’re not shooting weddings. To be honest we are mostly sat in front of our Mac screens editing away, answering emails and taking phone calls! but sometimes we do get out and about and when we do we have our trusty iphone’s at the ready to capture anything interesting or peculiar.

Some of the grams featured in this post are from Jewish Weddings and Weddings at Halls but there are some more obscure images such as our favourite Instagram of the two months, a family sat outside in front of a fire of a derelict building drinking tea.

From Sheffield to Buxton to Cheshire and London the idea is to push the iphone to it’s limits as a photographic tool and is more about the concept of an image rather than the quality in terms of mega pixels.
